The Second Chance Thrift Shop celebrated its 2025 Community Support Awards Ceremony on Sunday, Oct. 19, known as “The Best Day of the Year,” honoring 120 volunteers and distributing $250,000 to 19 nonprofit organizations serving Summerville and surrounding areas.

Founded in 1988, Second Chance Thrift Shop raises money by selling donated goods in its store and distributes proceeds to local nonprofits that assist residents in need.
