What to Expect This Hurricane Season?
According to the National Hurricane Center, the 2025 storm name list includes:
Andrea, Barry, Chantal, Dexter, Erin, Fernand, Gabrielle, Humberto, Imelda, Jerry, Karen, Lorenzo, Melissa, Nestor, Olga, Pablo, Rebekah, Sebastien, Tanya, Van, Wendy
Any of these could become a major storm. Early preparation is key.
The NOAA forecast predicts:
- 50% chance of a near-normal season
- 20% chance of an above-normal season
- 1–4 tropical cyclones expected (normal is 4–5)
